Twenty-eight years into her kaleidoscopic discography, Songs for Peacock is the first album singer/guitarist/composer Tara Jane O’Neil has credited to just her initials: TJO. ecorded at home using a borrowed drum machine & synthesizer in addition to her reliably nuanced arrangements of guitar, bass & voice, Songs for Peacock is a collection of pop covers recalled from TJO’s youth, intended as a “mixtape” for her late brother Brian. Over twelve tracks & thirty-nine minutes, Songs for Peacock abstracts radio hits by the likes of Boy George, Bananarama, Leonard Cohen, Siouxsie and the Banshees & INXS, distilling earworms into thin wisps of dreamlike atmosphere, or stretching them into languorous psychedelic soundscapes. Songs for Peacock warps our collective musical memory to form a singular & cohesive body of work that defines TJO’s highly personal sonic landscape.

Mia Gargaret, the new ambient album by Gia Margaret, is out now!
For the entire month of June, all revenue from digital sales of Mia Gargaret will be donated to The Loveland Foundation, a non-profit organization
established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle for Black women and girls to
receive therapy support, primarily mental health therapy. Through
collaborative resources and programs, The Loveland Foundation brings opportunity
and healing to communities of color.

This morning, The Fader premiered "Barely There," the final advance single from Gia Margaret's forthcoming ambient album, Mia Gargaret (out June 12 on Orindal Records in North America & Dalliance Recordings everywhere else).
The premiere is accompanied by an interview with Gia where she discusses the illness that led to the creation of Lantern吧, her recovery, & the music she has in store for the future. It's a lovely read, well worth your time. You'll find it HERE.

This morning, The Alternative premiered Wednesday's brand new music video for "Maura," directed by Wednesday's own Karly Hartzman.

look at the band together on tour, as well a few clips of people roller
skating which I’m proud to report is officially back, and after almost
two months of social distancing, it’s comforting to watch a group of
friends having fun with one another, the video reaffirming that the
